Explore Milos Beach, nestled between Kathisma and Agios Nikitas in Lefkada, known for its clear waters and tranquil atmosphere. Reachable by boat or on foot. With a direct access from our villas to the beach, in a distance of 5 minutes to go down and approximately 10 to come up.

Milos Beach stretches approximately 750 meters along the west coast of Lefkada, offering a secluded and scenic escape.
The beach takes its name from an old windmill that once stood proudly on the hill at its northern end.
Milos is the greek word for mill or wildmill.
Though the windmill is no longer operational, its ruins remain a testament to the island’s agricultural past,
subtly blending into the surrounding landscape. These remnants now serve as a visual reminder of the beach’s rich
history and a point of interest for those who make the effort to visit this hidden gem.

History

Lefkada owes its name to the white (lefkos in Greek) rocks that characterize the southern part of the island, the cape of Lefkata. The name was first given to the ancient city of Lefkada and then to the entire island. According to mythology, the poet Sappho jumped to the sea from these white rocks as she couldn’t endure the torture of her love for Phaon.
